Measure
B - Passed
by 79%! Thank You Oakland! School Parcel Tax Renewal. Measure B provides critical
funding for Oakland schools by extending a special assessment first passed
in 1996. These funds will end next year and must be re-approved by voters
on November 6th, 2001.
Chabot
Space & Science Center - I have represented the District on the Chabot Board for over 11 years and take special pride in seeing our dream come true. As Vice-chair I can testify that the
new center was designed with our teachers and students in mind. I think it is a stunning symbol of what our City can do when we all
work together for our kids.
